Meaningful Wedding Ceremonies on Cape Cod

Moments & Lifetimes'

Couple recessing from ceremony

Rev. Jim David will work with you as a couple to prepare a wedding ceremony that will be a memorable celebration for you and your guests. He will put time into getting to know you as a couple, preparing the ceremony, and officiating at the prayerful celebration of your marriage.

The Basic Fee

The base fee for these services is $750 and usually represents a modest percentage of the entire wedding cost. In most cases the base fee is adequate to cover your wedding ceremony in its entirety. A non-refundable initial deposit of $100 is required to hold a ceremony date - the deposit is counted toward the base fee.

Additional Charges

Additional fees of $50 per half hour or portion thereof apply for the following:

Travel: There is no charge for the first 20 minutes of travel in either direction. This is sufficient to cover towns surrounding Harwich (Brewster, Chatham, Orleans, Dennis, and Yarmouth). After the first twenty minutes additional fees apply for travel time. Travel time is calculated using Mapquest and is billed in advance.

Extended planning: for planning or modifications that extend beyond the planning time covered by the base fee additional fees apply.

Rehearsals: Rev. David is familiar with most Cape wedding venues and does not usually attend rehearsals. Additional fees apply for attendance at rehearsals. An extra one time charge of $100 applies if Rev. David is required to run the rehearsal.

Other instances of additional fees: missed appointments are billed at $100 (please give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment); late fees apply for appointments, rehearsals and ceremonies beginning at 30 minutes after the scheduled time.

Fees are payable in installments during the preparation period as follows: the deposit to hold the date -$100; first meeting - $200; second meeting - $200; remaining balance is due 14 days prior to ceremony date. The wedding license must be submitted to Rev. David with the final payment two weeks prior to the ceremony date unless other arrangements have been made.

Please note: a sliding scale fee is available for people who are in need and are planning very simple weddings.
